Meet Sarah Nordstrom, Ed.S., NCSP
Sarah Nordstrom is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and the founder of Connected Support Consulting. She began her career in education in 2015 while attending graduate school for school psychology at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls. Sarah spent her first four years as a school psychologist in a Federal Setting IV school district, where she gained extensive experience with the individualized needs of students and behavioral consultation. After working in Minnesota school districts, Sarah began providing virtual and in-person services as an independent contractor serving Indigenous youth in multiple South Dakota school districts. Through this work, she recognized an opportunity to organize her time to efficiently and effectively support schools during a shortage of school psychologists.
Through Connected Support Consulting, Sarah is dedicated to providing a variety of services that meet the unique needs of schools and their student populations. The most rewarding aspect of her work is rooted in the one-to-one connections with students, where their individual personalities shine. After having two daughters of her own, she has become even more passionate about early intervention and advocacy for each student’s individual needs. Sarah also has a drive for organization and systems-level support. In her work as an independent contractor, she has helped special education teams develop more organized, efficient, and equitable referral processes.
